Iʻm like a crepe, just pancake batter spread thin
Got the duties of two men, you probably thought I had a twin
Like nephi I asked god to make me shutter before sin
More money more problems
Losses come with wins
Even if they donʻt come in the form of Lʻs you had to sacrifice time with kin
What’s the thing that matters most
Balance or winning
What deserves a toast
Bright lights or a night light dimming
Problem solver, energy dissolver
6 tick revolver
Sick worried but held up proper
Stress eater, coin meter ignorer
iCare for the chronic phone dropper
Clock watcher, time waster
Faced fears, sporadic tik toker
Never bought was always just a mall walker
Most stores just pick pocket shoppers
Jesus taught me how to be a door knocker
Walky talked miles and hours, iʻm an endless talker
He looks to your future, theyʻre hung up on who you were
All I ask nightly is he keeps my heart humble & pure
How could you ever know he heals if youʻve never felt his cure
And there’s times iʻm more or less sure
But donʻt live between doorways, or bite on a lure
All I hope to become is more
Hopeful to meet him one day on the shore
It may be dday the way this life is war
I got a wife thatʻs my core
Poured my heart out to God when it felt ripped and torn
“Cheesy” stories to most, but to me itʻs thicker than thorns
Every soul is precious from the moment your born
Walked through the meadows & ate the corn
Gets to a point in life where you want the rain to pour
You realize it doesnʻt matter too much what you wore
That there’s something less to wanting a whole lot more
Reminder to myself to stay true to who you are
Wise man in an old beat up car
Rich man beat up from the world with a scar
